I can't believe we did it...

Yep-that's right...your eyes aren't playing tricks on you...I am the proud owner of a new mini-van. Did I say PROUD? Ok, maybe I'm not exactly proud of it, but it certainly makes life easier that's for sure! I was always the girl that said, "When I have kids, I will NOT be one of those mom's that drive a mini-van" (no offense to my mini-van mom friends-i'm sure you all said it too!) This is a classic case of never say never! Gerrick and I have been looking at cars ever since Anna Kate was born. We were in search of the family vehicle that was NOT a minivan...but nothing seemed to be as practical as the thing we didn't really want. However, I must say that in the short period of time I have had it...I LOVE IT! It is the perfect vehicle for young kids-now I know why so many people have them!

So, call me what you want...call me "soccer mom" or "grocery getter"...I don't care...because one day I'll be sad that I won't have a use for a minivan when the kids are all grown up!

An Accident with the Grill

Gerrick had a little accident tonight with the grill-it went out, and he was trying to relight it. Thinking the gas had gone out all the way, he lit it and poof-up came a blaze and away went a chunk of hair. Our bathroom smells of singed hair right now...it's really awful smelling! Thankfully Trace was not standing right there-he was outside with Gerrick. Here are some pics of his hair-or what's left of it!

Daddy's little helper!

Here's the newest employee at Taylor's Quality Landscape Supply! Trace LOVES visiting his Daddy at work. We can just be driving by, and he recognizes "Daddy's place" and will cry if we're not stopping! So, now I have to make detours sometimes if were not stopping, just so that he doesn't cry! Here he is gathering firewood to stack into piles to sell.

And here's our newest product...playground sets! We've had a great response from our customers, and are enthusiastic about selling from PlayNation. Trace is most excited! Boy will he ever be mad if I'm not stopping at "daddy's place" now!

Killing Two Birds With One Stone

Trace and Anna Kate have starting taking a bath at the same time. This makes life a little easier on all of us! As you can see, Trace was a little unsure about this idea at first!

But he quickly warmed up to the idea of bathing with "sis" as he likes to call Anna Kate.

Here he is wanting to push on her chunky belly! We are teaching Trace that he is in charge of washing Anna Kate's feet (my little disciple!) We are teaching him to be a servant, but also we thought, hey, he really can't hurt her feet...but what he would really like to do is splash water in her face! Trace got very frustrated when Anna Kate wouldn't play with his bath toys-I keep telling him that one day she will!

Playing Dress Up

Trace is starting to "pretend-play" these days and it is so cute! He loves trying on hats, sunglasses, and most recently-SHOES! I caught him wearing mommy's heels in this picture. (still can't figure out how to turn these pictures on the blog-if anyone can help, please let me know!!!)
