New York, New York!!!

Gerrick and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with a long weekend trip to NYC! We left the kids with my parents-this was the first time we had left Anna Kate-according to my mom, they were great, but I don't know if she would ever tell me if they weren't!

We had an awesome time just not being on a schedule and doing things that we don't get to do with 2 small children in tow! I can't believe how quickly 5 years have slipped away! It has been the best 5 years of my life. We joke because when we first got married we said we would wait 5 years before starting a family, and now look at us...after five years of marriage we have 2 kids! God's plans are greater and I wouldn't trade my life for anything! We are blessed!

Soho shopping
wonder if this guy just decided "hey, I think I'll paint myself silver and head on over to Times Square and see if anyone notices me?!!!"-weird, weird things in NYC!

a few more zoo pics...

Eating baby food!

Anna Kate has started eating baby foods. So far we have tried green beans, peas, and bananas. We had a very hard time getting her to eat rice cereal-even when mized with baby food. She is getting rice cereal in two bottles each day, but the Dr. wants us to continue trying once a week with rice cereal from a spoon. So, for now we are exploring with baby foods and so far the bananas are her favorite. I'm praying she will learn to like veggies more and more-and not be quite as picky as her brother!:-)

An afternoon visit to the ZOO!

Penguins!

More Penguins! We think this was Trace's favorite zoo adventure!

Lions

Trace seemed much more excited about this zoo trip than the ones in the past. He knows most of his animal sounds now, and enjoyed roaring at the lions and tigers and bears, oh my! He made monkey sounds, snake sounds (mommy skipped out on that one!), and all the barnyard animal sounds! We had a great afternoon teaching him!

Babies, Babies...EVERYWHERE! I love it!

This is Baby Ian Lucas Clamp! He was born on
March 31, 2008! His parents are our very dear friends and neighbors
and we were so thrilled to hear of his arrival!

This is Sydney Reese Player. Her parents are also
very good friends of ours. She was born on March 27, 2008
(Trace's bday!) She weighed 6 lbs. 5 0z.

Two other friends also had babies this month-and I will post their pictures when I take them. We just love being a part of witnessing the miracle of these precious babies being born! It's also bittersweet, as it makes me realize how quickly my "little one"-well, not so little...is growing up! She looks like she could get up and walk next to all of the newborns! Time flies...a lessong to me to enjoy each and every day with my kids!
